You can duplicate (copy) an existing event, for example if you have a new, similar event coming up and you want to use most of the same design and settings. When you duplicate an event it is important to review all information and update it so that it applies to the current event.

Checklist for duplicated events

Here is a checklist of information to review in a duplicated event:

Attendees in a duplicated event

  • Your list of attendees and imported contacts for invitations does not come along from the original event to the duplicated event.

  • If you have created scanning sessions for the original event, they can not be re-used in the duplicated event. If you want to use scanning sessions in a duplicated event you need to create them and new links for lead scanning under Scanning sessions in the duplicated event.

Tickets in a duplicated event

  • The structure of ticket batches will be copied from the original event to the duplicated event.

  • Any Addons created for the original event will be copied onto the duplicated event.

  • Discounts created for the original event will not be copied onto the duplicated event.

  • Information under Payouts will not be copied from the original event to the duplicated event. Information under Payouts appear once revenue is collected for your duplicated event.

Pages in a duplicated event

All information under Pages will be copied from the original event to the duplicated event. This will save you a lot of time when you want to re-use the design and settings for a new event. It is extra important that you control and update all text and information that might have changed, such as for example:

  • Forms connected to the event (Signup forms, Feedback forms, Addon forms, and Invoice settings)

  • Design including custom CSS, Favicon, and Advanced content strings

  • Sharing (Tagline, Calendar event description, Title, Description, Image, and links to your Social media)

  • Welcome/Tickets (Text shown when your attendees choose their tickets)

Content in a duplicated event

  • The blocks and information you created about Organizers, Sponsors and Speakers will be copied from the original event onto the duplicated event.

  • The information in the Schedule block will not be copied onto the duplicated event.

Messages in a duplicated event

All information and settings regarding your messages will be copied from the original event onto the duplicated event. Remember to review and edit any information that might have changed, such as, for example, dates in your messages:

  • Invite (the Email people get when you send the invite)

  • Receipt (the Email people get when they make a purchase)

  • Welcome/Ticket (the Email people when they are assigned to a ticket)

  • Decline (the Email people get when they decline the event)

  • Thank you (a feedback email people get when the event is over if activated)

Settings in a duplicated event

All of your choices under Settings will be copied from your original event onto the duplicated event.

Please double-check that all of your settings under Setup are still valid for your new, duplicated event, such as, for example:

  • Venue and Address

  • Start date, start time, end date, and end time (you get to fill this in when you duplicate the event)

  • Reply to email

Please also double-check that you still want to use the copied settings under:

  • Financial (how you receive the payments, company information, bank account)

  • Integrations

  • Data & Privacy

  • Teammates

  • Webhooks

  • Embed
