With the help of Confetti's app, you can let your partners collect contacts at your event through our Lead scanning function. Lead scanning is a great way to create added value for sponsors or, for example, exhibitors, so that at a later date they can get in touch with interesting people they spoke during the event.

Use Lead scanning

All that your partners have to do to use Lead scanning is download the app. You then send them a link that they press to get started. The app opens automatically and they can then scan participants' badges or QR codes to access their contact information such as email, phone number, company or other.

To create scanning sessions for your event, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the event

  2. Click on `Attendee` in the menu

  3. Click on `Scanning sessions`

  4. Click on `Create scanning session`

  5. Name the scanning session under Name

  6. Set the accessibility of the session by ticking the various boxes (see explanations below)

  7. Click on `Save`

Set open and close date: Controls when the session is open. If nothing is specified, it is always open. Attendees cannot be scanned in if the session is closed.

Accessible by checkin role: Applies to users who have an account at Confetti and are logged in. Here you can choose whether users with the Check in role should have access to the session in the app.

Also check in main: Scans an attendee into the session and also into the event. It works like a normal scanning for events.

Accessible by link: Give users without a Confetti account access to the session by sharing a link. These will not have access to the list of all attendees but will only be able to scan in people and only see their names. The link appears at the bottom of the window when you have saved the scanning session.

Access link has full access: (Related to the above point). If this is switched on, the users who use the link see all information about the attendee when it is scanned. Name, email, phone number and other information from the signup form.

Access link to Check-in App: Copy and share this link with your partners to enable them to scan leads through the Confetti Check-In App.

You can create as many scanning sessions as you want.

Information from scanning sessions

Your various partners (who downloaded the app and who had a scanning session link from you) will only have access to the contacts they scanned linked to their session link, which they can see in Confetti Check-In app.

You as organiser can export a list with the information from the scanning session and send it to your partner, learn more here.
