If you want to send invitations with SMS you need to have the telephone numbers to your recipients in advance.

As with Email credits, text messages cost SMS credits. SMS credits are counted separately from Email credits and are displayed in their own counter. To buy SMS-credits, go to `Messages` and click on `buy SMS credits`.

Import a list with names and phone numbers

To invite attendees with only names and mobile numbers, follow these steps:

  1. Click on `Attendees`

  2. Click on `Invite / Import`

  3. Check the box `Group`

  4. Fill in the box at the bottom with contact information. NOTE: Each line must consist of First name, Last name, ,Mobile number. Leave a space: , , after the name. If you also enter email addresses here, the usual invite email will send.

  5. Click on `Continue and preview`

  6. Above the column with phone numbers, click on `Select`

  7. Click on `Phone`

  8. Click on `Generate invites`

  9. The contacts have now been entered but since they don't have an email address connected to them, no invitation has been sent yet.

See your contacts with phone numbers

You can see that the contacts have been entered with phone numbers like this:

  1. Click on `Attendees`

  2. Click on `List`

  3. Click on `Fields`

  4. Click on `Phone`

  5. The contacts are then displayed with their added number under the name and status "Invited".

Compose and send invitation via SMS

To send the invitation via SMS, follow these steps:

  1. Click on `Messages`

  2. Click on `Compose`

  3. Under the Content tab, select `Send as SMS`

  4. Copy the link to the event (the URL) which you find via `Go to event site`

  5. You can write a message and Paste the URL to the event in the text box under Message.

NOTE: This will not work unless everyone with the link can see the event, or everyone with a password, and then you need to include the password in the message. Read more about settings for who can see your event here.

  6. Click on the tab `Recipients`

  7. Check the box `Status`

  8. Check the box `Invited`

  9. On the right you can see how many SMS credits the sending will cost.

  10. Click on the tab `Send`

  11. Click on `Send now`

You can see your sent messages if you click on `Messages` under Sent.
