You need a Business account to use the Mailinglist block.
If you want anyone that is visiting your event site, or your business site where several events are visible, to be able to give you their contact information, for example to sign up for your newsletter, you can add a Mailinglist block.
Create a Mailinglist block
To add and create a Mailinglist block, follow these steps:
Go to the event
Click on `Pages` in the menu
Click on `Start` (or you event name) next to the house icon
Hold the cursor between two blocks
Click on `+Insert block`
Click on `Mailinglist`
Add the text you want as a headline on your Mailinglist block under Title
If you want to add Categories to the contacts collected via the Mailinglist block, click on `Add` under Contacts that sign up here should belong to these categories
Choose categories by clicking on them
Click on `Done`
Check the box `Allow users to sign up to public categories`, if you want visitors to your site to be able to mark what categories they want to belong to themselves.
To add context / explanation to the public categories for the people signing up, fill in a text under Public categories title
Choose Color theme under Color theme
Make further settings for this block under Advanced settings
