Give your livestream a name under Name
Decide where on your event site you want to show the livestream under Where do you want to show the stream? You can choose by checking one of the three boxes.
On a new page: Create a new page on your event site for the livestream. In the Name of new page field, give the new page a name. The name will appear at the top of your event page as a new tab.
On the start page: The livestream is added to your event's start page. In this example, it is below the Header block, but you can put it under any block you wish to. If you become dissatisfied with the placement, you can move it up or down on your page by following these steps:
Click on `Pages`
Click on `Start` or the name of you event (next to the house icon)
Move the blocks by clicking on the three little dots at the left side of each block and drag it to the right place.
Below, to the left is the Live block under your event's start page, and to the right is the live window as it will look on the page.
Nowhere: Place a Live block wherever you want on your event page, at a later time, where the livestream will be displayed.
Start your Livestream
NOTE: Before you start broadcasting, you must allow both camera and microphone, which you can see by having a picture in the screen window.
Our resolution is Full HD, 1920x1080.
When it's time to broadcast your livestream, follow these steps:
Click on `Livestream` in the menu
Click on the name of your Livestream
Connect camera and microphone
Click on `Go live`, the orange button in the upper right.
Livestream functions
The white window to the right of the screen is a chat window where you will be able to chat with your attendees and they with you. At the bottom of the screen is a toolbar with the following icons.
Microphone: Shows if the microphone is on.
Screen: Allows screen sharing. (This feature is always disabled when a livestream starts)
Camera: Displays if the camera is on. If the icon is transparent and the crossed over it indicates that this function is disabled.
Pause button: Allows you to pause your livestream. However, it continues to record. When a livestream is paused, the camera and microphone are automatically deactivated. To resume the livestream, click the button again, now in the form of a "play" icon.
Gear: If you have an alternative camera or microphone that you want to use, you can set this up.
Below the screen is the `Take a break` button. If you click on it, the livestream will be paused and saved as a clip. You can resume the same livestream by clicking `Go live`. Then a new clip is started in the same livestream. This is an excellent feature if you want to split your livestream into multiple sections instead of getting a long clip.
To end your livestream, click on `End stream` in the top right corner.
NOTE: Do not click `End stream` if you just want to take a break as this will permanently end the livestream.
When your livestream has ended it's saved under the screen window where you can watch and download the livestream.
You can embed a livestream from external services. Read more about embedding a livestream from external services here.
