You can easily share a link to the attendee list with the check-in staff at the event and start checking in attendees instantly.
Staff need to download the Confetti Check-in app. It is completely free and available for both iPhone and Android. No Confetti account is required to use the app together with the link.

  • Name: This is the name of your scanning session (e.g. “Friday Entrance” or “VIP Check-in”).
The name helps you and your team keep track of different check-in flows.

  • Set open and close date: Enable this to limit when the session is active by setting a start and end time. If not enabled, the session will always remain open.

  • Accessible for teammates with the role Checkin: This setting controls who on your team can access the session in the Check-in app. Only teammates with the Check-in role can access it, ensuring that only authorized people can check in guests.

  • Also check in main: This option links the session to the event’s main check-in, so tickets checked in here are also marked in the main list. It’s useful for syncing data across multiple entrances or flows, such as VIP access.

Create a shareable link to the Check-in app

Follow these steps when creating or editing a shareable link:

  1. Click on `Attendees`

  2. Click on `Scanning sessions`

  3. Click on `Create scanning session` (or open an existing session)

  4. Go to Link Sharing Settings

  5. Check `Allow link access to attendee list`

Must be checked for the link to be shareable and accessible via the Check-in app.

  6. Check Give full access to attendee details

If this is checked, all attendee details are shown. If it is unchecked, only names are shown.

  7. If necessary, adjust the setting for `Share full ticket list with link`

  8. Click `Save`.

The link is now saved and ready to be shared.

Share the link with check-in staff

  1. Open the newly created (or updated) scanning session

  2. Scroll down to the section Check-in app

  3. Copy the URL in the field Access link to Check-in app

  4. Share the link with the check-in staff

How does it work for check-in staff?

When staff click the link on their mobile phone, they get direct access to the guest list in the app.
They only need to have the latest version of the app installed on their phone.

They can then check in attendees by searching by name or reference code, or by scanning the ticket’s QR code using the built-in scanning feature.
