This article goes through the Confetti Check-in app which can be downloaded for free to both iOS and Android. With the app you can check people in with QR-codes at the door. You can also search by name or e-mail to do the check in. You can have multiple people doing the check in from different entrances and still keep track of who is in and who is still on their way.
Check-in step by step
To check-in attendees to an event with the Confetti Check-in app, follow these steps:
Log in to the app with the same information that you use in the event tool
You will then see a list of the events you have created.
Select the event you want to check in to, to bring up the list of attendees.
At the top right you will find the scan function which allows you to scan the QR code if it is activated on the ticket by holding it in the dashed box.
At the bottom of this view you can see recently checked in attendees by clicking on Recent.
You can either search for attendees by name or reference code in the search window, or scroll through the list.
Select the person you want to check in and click on "Check in"
You can see that the person is checked in by the name being green and marked with a check mark. You can also see the total number checked in at the bottom right.
To add a participant directly to the app, click on the plus sign in the bottom right corner.
It is possible for several people to be logged in and handle check-ins at the same time from different units.
To update the list and synchronize with the other phones, drag down the screen until the charging symbol appears.
