Lead scanning - Manual

Lead scanning is a simple way for you as a partner, sponsor or exhibitor at an event to collect contact information.

Collect contact information with Lead scanning

  1. Download the free app Confetti Check-in to your cell phone

  2. The main organizer of an event with Lead scanning can provide you with a link to your Scanning session so that you can collect contact information

  3. Tap the lead scanning link provided by the main organizer. The app and your scanning session will open automatically when you tap on the link

  4. Ask the participant whose data you want to collect to show their QR code on their ticket, name tag, or confirmation email

  5. Tap on Scan in the top right corner

  6. Scan the QR code

  7. The available information about the attendee is now visible in your scanning session in the Confetti Check-in app.

Add a comment about the participant

Follow these steps to enter your own information related to a participant you are scanning:

1. Collect the participant's contact details using Lead scanning (see guide above).
2. Press Add comment
3. Enter your comment/note


4. Press Save to save the comment
5. Now, the comment is saved, and it is visible in the app for you and any colleague/partner of yours who also has access to the scanning session via the link.

Edit comment about participants

To edit a comment about a participant you have scanned, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the Lead scanning link provided by the main organizer. The app and your scanning session will open automatically when you press the link

  2. Tap on the name of the scanned participant

  3. Press Edit comment

  4. Edit the comment

  5. Press Save to save your edited comment.

View contact details

To see which contact details you have scanned during the event, follow these steps:

  1. Press the link to your scanning session, and the Confetti Check-in app will open automatically

  2. View the list of scanned participants under the name of your scanning session.

    If you have questions about how Lead scanning works or what information you will be able to collect about participants at the event, contact the main organizer who provides you with the link to your scanning session. Through the main organizer, you also have the possibility to export a list of the contacts you have collected.
