Email traffic

Why are not all emails sent immediately and what controls a successful delivery?

Email traffic is complicated and there are several actors involved in the delivery process. Email providers are constantly changing their criteria for what is considered junk mail or spam.

At Confetti we work continuously to optimize our send outs and with the changing nature of email communication, we try to keep up, although it is not always easy. For larger mailings, we send batches of emails every hour to avoid spam alerts. Email traffic works a little bit like road traffic, sometimes there are rush hours and the transfers can slow down and form a queue, but the email will still eventually go out.

Make sure that your emails reach destination

To optimize your mailings and prevent them from being stopped by spam filters that result in spam alerts, it is important to keep your contact lists up to date. You can export a list of bounced e-mail addresses, remove them from your list and prevent recurring spam messages.

When sending emails to company email addresses, they may have additional spam filters that prevent a certain type of email from being delivered. In these cases, the company's IT department needs to mark noreply@confetti.events as a trusted sender in order for the email to be received.
