Cancel a Ticket event

Contact our support if you need to cancel an event that you already have sold tickets for and refunds are involved.

Cancel a Free event

To prevent anyone from signing up to a Free event (RSVP-event) that has been cancelled, you can disable the registration button by changing the close date for registration to a date that has already expired.

Follow these steps to set a close date for registrations to an event:

  1. Go to your event

  2. Click on `Settings`

  3. Click on `Setup`

  4. Uncheck the box `Let the registration be open until event`

  5. Select a passed date from the drop down calendar under Close Date

  6. Click on `Save`

If you want to you can write that the event is cancelled on the event site by editing the text.

Cancel an event with free tickets

If you have an event with Free tickets you can prevent people from signing up to it by the "hide batch" option. Hide batch will make the tickets disappear and therefore not be available for purchase. Follow these steps to hide a ticket batch:

  2. Click on the specific ticket batch

  3. Click on `Edit`

  4. Check the box `Hide this batch and make it unavailable for everyone`

  5. You need to make these changes manually for all the ticket batches connected to the event.

Inform your attendees

If you have to cancel a Free event and you have one of our paid plans you can inform your attendees by sending them a message. To send an email with information to your attendees, follow these steps:

  1. Click on `Messages` in the menu

  2. Click on `Email & SMS`
