The Text Editing Menu

Are you wondering what the icons at the top of the text editor mean or what options are available when writing and formatting content in Confetti?

The menu at the top of the text editor helps you create and structure content in a simple and professional way.

For example, you can:

  • create titles and subtitles

  • write bullet lists and checklists

  • add links and tables

  • format text using bold, italic, or highlights

  • insert quotes, code snippets, and emojis

  • adjust the alignment of your text

Below is an overview of all icons and the functions they include.

Add (+)

Used to add new content to the text.

  • Text – Inserts regular text

  • List – Creates a list

  • Link – Adds a hyperlink

  • Table – Inserts a table

  • Quote – Creates a quote block

  • Code snippet – Inserts a code block

  • Line – Inserts a horizontal divider

HTML (</>)

Used to display or write HTML code directly in the content

Format (ΒΆ)

Used to change the text type and structure.

  • Text – Standard body text

  • Heading 3 – Heading level 3

  • Heading 4 – Heading level 4

  • Quote – Formats text as a quote

  • Bullet list – Creates a bullet list

  • Numbered list – Creates a numbered list

  • Title – Main title

  • Sub title – Subtitle

Alignment

Controls how the text is aligned within the text field.

  • Left – Aligns text to the left

  • Center – Centers the text

  • Right – Aligns text to the right

  • Justify – Evenly distributes text between both margins

Bold (B)

Makes selected text bold to emphasize important content

Italic (I)

Formats text in italics

Deleted

Displays text with a strikethrough to indicate removed content

More formatting (...)

Contains additional text formatting options

  • Code – Formats text as code

  • Underline – Underlines text

  • Superscript – Displays raised text, for example xΒ²

  • Subscript – Displays lowered text, for example Hβ‚‚O

  • Highlight – Highlights text with a background color

  • Clear all styles – Removes all formatting from selected text

List

Used to create different types of lists.

  • Bullet list – Creates a bullet list

  • Numbered list – Creates a numbered list

  • Todo – Creates a checklist with checkboxes

Link

Used to create clickable links.

  • URL – The web address the link points to

  • Text – The visible text for the link

  • Open link in new tab – Opens the link in a new browser tab

Emoji

Here you can choose from different emojis.

Table

Used to create and manage tables within the content.

  • Add caption – Adds a caption or description to the table

  • Add head – Adds a header row at the top of the table

  • Add head (vertical) – Adds a vertical header column on the left side of the table

  • Add column before – Inserts a new column before the selected column

  • Add column after – Inserts a new column after the selected column

  • Add row below – Inserts a new row below the selected row

  • Add row above – Inserts a new row above the selected row

  • Remove caption – Removes the table caption or description

  • Remove head – Removes the table header row

  • Remove head (vertical) – Removes the vertical header column

  • Remove column – Removes the selected column

  • Remove row – Removes the selected row

  • Delete table – Deletes the entire table
