Ask for Ticket Details Before Payment

When creating a Ticket event with paid tickets, you can choose whether attendees must fill in ticket details before completing the payment.

You can configure this under:
​Settings β†’ Setup β†’ Require ticket details before payment

Below are the pros and cons of each setup:

1. Ticket Details First

Pros:

  • All tickets must be filled in before the purchase is completed.

  • Useful if you need all attendee information well in advance (e.g. for printed materials, seating arrangements, or dietary requirements).

Cons:

  • Completing the ticket details takes time, increasing the risk that someone else secures the tickets first β€” especially when demand is high and ticket availability is limited.

2. Payment First

Pros:

  • The buyer can quickly secure multiple tickets without needing the details of each attendee at the time of purchase.

  • Ticket information can be added later.

  • This setup has been shown to increase conversion rates and ticket sales.

Cons:

  • Some tickets may remain incomplete, which can cause issues for the organizer (e.g. for printing name tags or creating seating plans).

You can identify and contact ticket holders with incomplete information via:
